Carrier Springs and Bespoke Spring Design

For each yarn passing through a carrier, a carrier spring is used to consistently present yarn to the gripper and as a “ratchet” to prevent the yarn pulling back out of the carrier after the tuft has been cut. Every loom tuner has his own views about the size, shape and strength of these springs. Hence, there is a wide range of these springs available.

If in doubt about the particular spring you use, send samples and we should be able to identify the design, and supply new ones (note that we accept orders for carrier springs in multiples of 5000).

In addition we make a wide variety of different springs used in different loom components, including, but not limited to:

Gripper Spool Frames
Tube Frames
Clamps
